"Don't hate life if you feel great pain, because if you feel pain that great it means you must've felt something equally happy at some point in your life. So love pain as much as you love happiness; emotion means you're alive, and being alive is the greatest Joy in this universe." -Very loosely quoted from South Park

If you are an artist, be generous with your work. When you create something, it should not be for you but for everyone. Make other people happy with your talent. Be loving. Share with everyone, or else someday cold and callous math-brained scientists who were never shared with and never got to apprecite art or be loved are going to create something that replaces the need for artists and musicians and writers and poets. That's why you need to do everything you can with your talent to show people that Art Is Necessary.
Some people have never been able to appreciate art. They ask What's The Point and say I Don't Get It or Let's Go Watch TV. They think art is the pretty pictures on packaging and billboards. They think art has no purpose. These kinds of people lead colourless, empty lives. That is why as artists, we should do our best to honestly and originally express ourselves and show that life is supposed to be fun. I'm not saying we need to shove culture down other's throats, but if we can show just one person something other than what is "acceptable" or "normal" or "boring", then as Artists, we have fulfilled our purpose.
Personally, I have a hard time not judging others. But lately, if I think something terrible about someone, I catch myself, I wonder what made them that way. What's their home life like? Do they have a mom? Is their dad still around? I used to blindly hate without even considering what that person had gone through. Sometimes it's hard not to automatically hate someone. But at least be courteous. Forgive them. Because even if you do wind up disliking someone, think about what their life has been like. Understand that no one's perfect and some people just don't know better. Forgive them, and forgive yourself for hating them. I still "hate" people, and in all honesty, there are going to be people in this world that you just don't like and never will. But especially don't waste your time on hate. There are so much more worthy things to do out there than to hate people. Why not go around loving people and everything life has to offer?
One last thing. I don't talk about god and religion and all that, and frankly, I don't even think about it that much. Personally I'd rather not waste my time living thinking about what happens when I die. My point is that if you are big on religion, good for you! If you're not, good for you! Just don't go shoving your opinions down someone's throat. Because if someone doesn't like what you're saying, they will never be able to be forced into believing something that they don't like, even if proof of it is staring them right in the face. People will believe whatever the hell they want to believe, so why waste your time trying to force someone to change when they never will? Be happy with your beliefs and the way you are, because trying to force someone to change will never make you or anyone else truly happy. If everyone could just learn to love everyone else and not take everything they have for granted, we'd all be so happy. Well I failed to keep my opinions short (yet again), but maybe I've said something that made a little sense. if you agree, that's awesome. Try to be nice to everyone and accept them for who they are. If you don't agree, think about it a little. Universal love is the answer to anyone's unhappiness, not money or drugs or meaningless sex or material things. I guess what I'm trying to say is OPEN YOUR MIND, and keep it open. Stop hating and start loving. Don't be afraid to say what you goddamn well think. And above all, be true to yourself.

Universal Success Strategy: Make everyone and everything your bitch.

Anime is not art.
