About torchwood
I used to draw all the time, but about ten years ago I just stopped, not even a doodle. Coming on Sketch-fu and seeing all the people sharing their works and enjoyment of art has reignited the old passion for drawing. Thanks Matt and Andrew for the site, and thank you all for sharing!

I swear, your brick wall must have been "remixed" more than any background ever on here. I plan to use it for my first Wheres Willy draw *S*

Alas, 45 hours at work last week, plus the regular day to day, takes it's toll on an oldster like me. And when I lay me down, I sleep in fits. One hour, to two. So, plainly it is not so restful.
I still try to get here and see what you are doing, as it gives me a sense of hope, as well as a belonging to something, that is rare and not easy to find for me,, and I know for many others like me. As much as I wud love to spend all my time here,it is not possible.
I find time as I can to be with you and see what you have created. FU's 4eva!! TY for all your cheers for me and your wonderful comments. I have gained a confidence that was lost many years ago, and sooo appreciate your support.. Art goes on, long after we do... I love it!! And you all!! Please forgive that this is a blanket post, I have just plain run out of time... TG, I have to get up early and go to work... hasta lagsangna!!! ( WOW,,, never saw that pic of THEM b4,,, well three of them... Was this at the Cavern?? I don't *cough, remember, *cough a lot of the pre-history. I kno, that they went through a few drummers b4 Ringo, but that is about all... LUV UR STUFF!!!! )
Mine were a bit wilder then some of those.

THE spice of the decade!! I have to ask at every dang restaurant if the food has it in there and they always say no and it always does *L* anyhow..I teach using a book called "Perspective Without Pain" by Phil Metzger which is fairly painless really. The thing is, altho I teach realistic drawing I hate linear perspective with a passion, it is too ..well...structured for me!! I understand the basic theory but I draw by eye when i am copying from life or a picture. When drawing form my imagination I only resort to consciously using it if something looks dreadfully wrong to me. Too much reliance on it can make a drawing look "stiff" and overly architectural (I know, i am married to an architect). This is sometimes a good thing for a picture too tho. But too lil reliance on it (like i do), can make a draw look too amateurish unless other parts of the drawing are correct enough to show the viewer the artist left the perspective wonky on purpose. anyhow..you asked for a book title, not an art lecture..*L* Sorry!! There are lots of perspective books out there but the one I gave you is very well done and covers all the basics and has some tips.
** oooh, what's a "troublem?" lol, i thought I wrote problem and was going to fix it, but maybe i've invented a new word. hehee. ;P
