"nice axolotl too! Did you know that a axolotl is basically an immature salamander that never takes on mature salamander features? You can give them growth hormones and they metamorphose into a new species of salamander! How mad is that?"

and..it says that you weren't online fr like 2 months..when i saw tthat i was..felt..sad..so if we could get in touch maybe msn??
Hey Lewis: Good to hear from you. I understand about being busy; I hardly have time these days to do much drawing. Hope that alls going well for you back in Scotland--I guess you wrapped up the gig in Singapore. Like S9TXE said, "...a lil' SF is relaxing sometimes...:)" Hope to see you around!!!
This is your official invitation to draw a GOAT and become a charter member of the legendary and exclusive Goat Club! Won't you draw a goat and join the 'Goat-A-Thon'! got goat? In Goat We Trust. hehe.
Heya Lew!!! Hope all's going well for you, school/art/life! I just had to tell you about this new SF'er named Sunsi...19 y/o from Finland, too awesome, bro. Does everything with a mouse...lol. Check out: http://sketchfu.com/drawing/53865-fire Take care and catchya later, my friend!
Hey.. please could you draw me? as a request by going onto my profile and getting the picture.. please!! that would be fanstastic!! please please please!! btw ur great artist cxxx
Hey Lewis...Just checking in with you to see how you're doing. Been a while since I've seen anything new from you but I'm sure you're extremely busy as you said you would be. I hope that all's well and progressing as best as they could for you. Went and checked out the website of SF member 'alcis' tonite. Very impressive stuff. He works as an artist; man, I've got to give my biggest credits to cats that pull if off in the arts industry (whether its performing, visual, music, dance, culinary, etc.)--its not an easy gig and I'm sure it can be volatile; ever-changing. But once in a while, along comes genius in the form of aspiring artists (I'd definitely rate you in this category, along with people like S9XTE, Samy, Teacup, et al). Well, I won't bore you with my ramblings but just wanted to 'throw a shout out' as a greeting or moreover an acknowledgement that your presence in SF is being missed. See ya later, crocodile...hehe.
wow... that sounds ideal. especially the pressure thing. i've heard about those for a while but i thought it was probably more hype than functionality. i'll have to start saving up for one rather than doing silly things like making credit card payments. ^_^ what kind do you have?
Thanks for your comment. Yeah, I nearly killed my OWN computer with that drawing, haha. I do realize that I could have made twice as little strokes...but what can I say, that's where I'll be improving in the future. :)
Thank you Lewis, always means alot coming from you :) I had a look at your sketchbook, great idea to collect all your works together. I also saw new works from you there, Awesome work!! I wish you best luck in your new career :)
hey man, like your version on photoshop and the rework your doing looks even better, did you finish that? Ive been well busy aint been on for ages, got a copy of photoshop today (trial) overwhelmed by the amount of tools... but im giving it a go!
Thanks man, looking forward for the finished piece
btw I dont know how you got this drawings look like that without transparencies. I would have never get them to look like this :D.. you really have skills!
Thanks Lewicron, for the comment. You're right, it's something I wouldn't even have attempted without a tablet. I do hope it's paying off well and the end result won't disappoint you. :)
Wow your pix are really good!! You must really take alot of time to make them!! not me though i just guff off lol!!How did ya learn how to draw soo good anyway???
Oh, my bad i forgot the word "see" in my comment > "..did you 'see' the one.." well its too long time, but it maybe worth it idk.. he didnt draw much beside that eye.. when i first looked at it i really couldnt believe it, it inspired me to draw mine.. Do/did you draw with pencils?
Yes you're right, myself when i looked at it after i finished i saw that, specially the lashes on the very left, anyway i was too lazy to fix them :D i think they'de have been more natural if they were transparent, too.. another thing that i couldnt get them as round as i can with pencils, to be honest they were my nightmare in this drawing lol.. the one on deviantart is pretty big, abt 12x8 in. i had alota space, but it took me sooo much time more than the eye on sketchfu. ohh did you the one titled "Window to the soul", by signalbox on deviantart? its the best i've seen..
ha ha ha .... THAT'S FANTASTIC DUDE! I LOVE IT. I think I have to give that back to you!... er...well, you haven't got any brother in here, I suppose... so I make it two for one, then. thx again!
Now that I have my net back, I had a look at your piece. Now, I am no expert, but I agree that it's little busy with no main focus. But it's very well drawn, looks HL2esque. Can't wait to see your finished piece!
Thanks alot!! I'm really flattered!
i'm looking forward to see the finished piece, and i was kinda lucky in that eye drawing :D it turned out to be much better than i thought i'll be, glad you like it.. again thanx for your support and inspiring me :)
Hey man, I had a look again at your piece on conceptart, i gotta say there are really useful critiques there (though you did good on the first one). You are on the rightway man, if you learned like this from each piece, i'm sure you gonna be among the greatest!
Thanks for the suggestion re: the Enterprise pic. I'm going to experiment around with this one. I wasn't really satisfied with the overall picture anyway. The perspective was wrong on the NCC-1701 and the planet was added in after I did the ship. I think I want to try and do the background first, then add the ship. I kind of wanted to do a view from underneath with the tail end severely foreshortened so it would have a lot of depth but I don't think the ship's shape would 'read' too well...grrrr...lemme work on this later. But thanks again, Lewis. Eddie
Dude that was impressive as... Totally blown away by the rescue mission upgraded in PHOTOSHOP. I joined up with "conceptart.org" a while ago (havnt done to much with it yet) and I was commenting. But the comp went bonkers and things just went. So nice touch and upgrade on the rescue mission man. Gud luk for breaking into the industry.
Thanks for the tips on my Heroes Attempt! It inspired me to try again :) Now whether or not I was skilled enough to actually usefully incorporate the tips is another matter...
Hey again, Lewis: I got to see the 'paintover' of your piece on ConceptArt....OMFG!!! I have to redefine the word "Awesome" all over again!!! I went ahead and signed up at the site under the name, "Tony Cruz" and left a comment for you on your pic. Also, ordered the Marko Djurdjevic Character Ideation DVD. I'm hoping it will help with many aspects of my drawing.
Hey Lewis: Thanks for sending the link to your "Rescue Mission" piece on ConceptArt. I thought it was AWESOME! I also read the critique by the main man, Jason Manley; although it was 'brutal' in some sense, I thought he made some very good, important points that would point you in the right direction in your pursuit. That's an awesome site and already, I can tell that you'll reach your dream of becoming a PAID artist. Wish you lots of luck and I hope that WHEN (not "if") you become rich and famous, you'd still regard us at Sketchfu as your friends! Sketch on, my friend, sketch on!!!
mm, i did think about this many times before, but i might take art as a hobby, i feel that i need more solid degree and career, if you know what i mean..
Few months ago i bought some oils and a canvas, and painted but i had no idea about it :D man i messed up, i went back to graphite work.
not adobe product, so a little different. much more brushes and brush-effects in corelpainter. it is unusual for those who use PS, or adobe products, but the PS in the fisrt time is little difficult too. so many illustrators use corel painter
thnks, actually no, i just love drawing.. I mainly depend on observation, actually before this site all my work was by pencil, but i loved digital art, what abt you?
I really love Larson as well, and it's great that you've linked him; it's good exposure. ;) Your work is fantastic and I'm looking forward to seeing more!
:O umm.. are you and this jeffrey t. larson crazy?! why don't you take photos of the things you draw? would be the same result, wouldn't it? no.. umm.. i'm really very impressed and stunned and thrilled by the work of you two (and some other artists like don seegmiller, but nevermind).. i love your drawings!! :)

haha.
oh and your picture is the second most viewed picture on this site.

i have discussed similar issues with andrew prior 2 this re-mixing idea. the other issue i had was wanting 2 delete our old pixurez, cuz some of our old pixurez r crap. but im not sure what that would do 2 all the re-mixes that were made of that crap. i hope if u delete your pixure that it deletes all remixes. but i still think there should b a re-mixing feature that you simply click yes or no on allowing people access 2 re-mixing. ...peace.
yea I know about the kisame copy thing. i only exaggerated to bug him a little lol. im gonna erase it soon anyway. just wanted to see how he'd react. its not the fact that they copy me that bugs me but jus the annoying titles like "i did not copy this" wtf??
yes, i do. you can see some of my work at http://purplefeltangel.deviantart.com but somehow i'm not as good with paper and pencil as i am with sketchfu with a mouse! odd, that. :) your work is fantastic too, by the way, i love your robot dudes. :D you're very talented
if you give me the honor, ^-^ I use to show my drawings and paintings at http://hermmes.multiply.com/photos/album/37 - I think Multiply (with free-accounts) has a really enjoyable interface.
I´ve visited your page at 'bebo.com' and it was a real pleasure wacthing your pictures. My favorite ones - if I had to chose (cause I don´t) would be "kho phi phi" and`"ralph´s sharp arse", because they work visualy agaisnt expectations, if you know what I mean. I´ll be back glad to be back there now and then...

You can use keyboard shortcuts when you're drawing!
z - undo
y - redo
[ - smaller brush
] - larger brush
Try it out :)
As for deletion, it's been a popularly-requested feature, and we definitely have it on our todo list! Thanks for pinging me.
