i am making a book,With a friend on sketchfu, i hope to someday be an illistrator and a writer. Please help me out with the idea. So far i think the name of the book is going to be called ....... I was inspired by erin hunter, heres what she wrote to me that inspired me most : Read! And read some more! The best way to learn about good writing and bad is to experience as much of other peoples' writing as you possibly can. Explore all Different and sorts of Genres, from fantasy to detective fiction, comtemporary writing and books from the last century. Also all different styles like newspapers, blogs, magazines, and advertising copy. Then have a go at practice writing every form you can! From the school magazines, to fan fiction letters to your grandparents! There are so many different ways ways of being a writer thats you shouldn't just focus on one sort of fiction such as feral cats fantasies! You might be a brilliant at writing sports reports or movie reviews, for example. finally, remember to leave your keyboard or your pen so often so you can explore what real life can offer! You need to have things to write about, and not everything can be found in your imagination. Kate, Cherith, Tui and I all had other jobs as well as writing, and lead busy lives with children, friends, and hobbies so we have lots of experiences to draw on when it comes on making up characters and stories ( also pretty much same thing if you want to be an illustrator!
