About demented_cookies
Hi! I'm Laura. I like playing guitar and saxophone, playing volleyball, drawing, writing, reading, acting, and performing.
My favorite bands are the Dixie Chicks and Indigo Girls. I also like Fleetwood Mac.
My favorite song is Not Ready to Make Nice, by the Dixie Chicks
My favorite genres of music are folk-rock, rock, folk, country, and bluegrass.
My favorite color is black for some strange, unknown, unearthly reason.
My favorite series are Artemis Fowl, His Dark Materials, and Annals of the Western Shore. My favorite books from those series are The Lost Colony, from Artemis Fowl; The Amber Spyglass, from His Dark Materials; and either Powers or Gifts (I can't decide) from Annals of the Western Shore.
My favorite authors are Eoin Colfer, Philip Pullman, and Ursula K. Le Guin.
My favorite movies are Shut Up and Sing, Howl's Moving Castle, and The Lord of the Rings (I like the book too)
My favorite people are my best friends, Eoin Colfer, and Natalie Maines.
My favorite place is home.
My favorite state besides the one I live in is New York (because of the comic books!!)
My favorite animals are horses and cats.
Hello! I read your comment on my drawing! I've only read a few chapters of the 1st book of Artemis Fowl, but i know enough to agree with you XD. Artemis is pretty damn smart!
You just put the pointer where you want the line to start, leftclick then rightclick and hold in that button for a second or two, then leftclick where you want the line to end ^^
I just discovered it too :D(if you don't understand my explenation ask again ^^)
Thank you so much for the comments and cheers! =D
On paper, I find my strokes are much more defined and bolder. Shading is blended better, but not as precise and realistic due to the fact that when i draw with paper it's always in black and white, and colors make it more precise. When I paint, the colors are much bolder than I could ever et on sketchfu....but whether I'm sketching, drawing on sketchfu, painting, etc., my style stays the same...
Hahaha xD
Well for me I wouldn't call it "coaching". It's more like me and this college sophmore Carrie attempting to show 13 7th graders how to play while spazzing out to music and they ignore us and act like they're all that. xD
Sweet! ^_^
Our season ended, so now I'm on a small rec team (I help to coach it...it's for younger kids)
The play sounds cool, too. I'm into acting and did this really weird play during the summer, but it was fun. =]
Hahaha thank you so much for the wonderful comments! Yes I looooove Fruits Basket- the animations are just sooo cute! ^_^
I see you like to play volleyball and act. Are you on the school team/in any plays?
ok, so on the homepage it will say somethign like, "WANT OPACITY?" or like, "GET THE SECRET OPACITY THINGER."
You click the link.
You'll have to put in an e-mail and e-mail password. I find that only hotmail addresses seem to work, so i have a special hotmail e-mail address just for this site.
Once you do that, you'll have opacity, which gives you the overlappign effect.
Enjoy! =D
hahaha mhmm, that's her!
i loved that movie- when i saw it there was this 2131072301972 year old guy who fell asleep, slept through all of the loud explosions, and woke up during credits.
i plan to do a whole bunch of serenity fanart ^_^ (i'm taking a kind of cartoony twist on it- you can kind of tell with my drawing of river because all of the features are very exaggerated...)
