What was his reason? Did it stem from an argument? Lot's of times parents put their foot down because they are angry with the way some situations are handled by their kids, If there was an argument about one thing, and then if the kids are rebelling against a rule, they tend to remove the whole darn thing...Give it a day or two and I know I am going to sound like a broken record here, but talk, not yell, not throw a fit, about why you can not see him. Ask if it is ok to be at your house, if not at the park, where there is supervision. You have to learn how to "play" their game...let them think that you think their ideas are good, that way it builds up the trust they will have in you. When you over-react, it enforces their idea, that you are not mature enough to handle relationships. You have to learn how to take it slowly, and let them think things are your ideas, it sounds like manipulation, and it sort of is, but isn't that what life really is? You have to figure out what it is that they want from you and then give it to them. Sounds really horrible, but I am being truthful. Right now it is really important to let them think it doesn't bother you, after all. Tell them you see their "viewpoint" and you would like to still see this boy that he helps you feel "good" about your self. I can't emphasize enough about learning how to play the game...keep a smile on your face, I promise things will get better when you learn how to keep the emotions in check. You can do it!
