Frustration is inspiration .Any emotion can be turned into a positive outcome .It all energy.{Pic for example] . But i do feel for you .
So this pic you were making was important to you really important .You have to figure out where and why the fare of loosing it .
For me i believe we are a produce of our own thoughts .
We create our own destiny threw thought . Be careful what ya think .
Hehe looking forward to the next one .
Btw i have lost many paintings because they were too important to me .And i simply became fareful of loosing them halfway thru .And i lost them in one manner or another .
Lmao but in the end i know i can do more and better pics ....
Hang in there its a belief EC ...Timbo
I don't quite know the emotions I'm feeling right now...I had been working on a portrait for the past two days....just putting the final touches on the background and touching up this and that...rather minor stuff....and then all of a sudden...CRASH!!! I lost the whole damned picture. As you know, you can't save work in progress unless you publish it and then finish it later on as a new sketch. Well, I took the chance; I shoulda followed my instincts when my computer was beginning to run a little unstable and when the cursor began to run "heavier"...slower and less responsive---that shoulda been my signal to quit (while I'm ahead)...If I didn't value the hair on my head so much, I swear I woulda pulled it all out by now. I am so....Grrrrrr! Nevermind...sorry I vented but I feel much better knowing someone understands. Thanks for listening. Hope to publish more later; for now, frustration stands in the way of inspiration.
Yeah...you're right about the 'comfort zone' concept...it is a bit scary knowing people will be looking at your pictures as soon as you publish them and wonder what their perception of them will be...
I've not really been this into art in at least 20 years so its sort of like learning to walk all over again. Some things I remember from my figure drawing classes...the other stuff....well, I musta skipped school on those days..hahaha!
Thanks, Timbo...am working on right now; sort of different from my previous works....this time I'm trying a little 'animation' although I think there are those who excel in this form...(see Hermmes' stuff); hope it comes out OK...it could be embarrassing since we cannot yet delete pics we don't like :( I'm working with a drawing tablet now...a little more control than the touchpad on my laptop. Hope to get a little better with it; still catching hell with straight lines...grrrr! lol.
Whatever .I just think its easy to draw decorative stuff {crowd pleasers}.We all know how to do it .I think you are very talented .And id love to see something of you .
I get my ideas from movies that I've watched over my lifetime. Plus, I research and find out everything I can about whatever I am interested in. I hope that answers your question. If you want to know anything else, feel free to ask.
Oki Dokily...
im not a reli g=odrawer so i joined this cuz my m8 ses it teaches u to lern lol, she cld onli do a scrible now she can draw the twin towers =o
I totally agree with you Timbo...I really enjoy seeing the artistic minds and works of the people here; you are one of my favs...I think you got some seriously great stuff! Just keep moving those virtual paintbrushes, my friend!
Quote :Um...not at the moment, but I've always been in love with the idea of being in love...does that make sense?
lol i have made this mistake also hehe
heh, the face thing comes from when I babysit - I can do pencil art easier than on a computer, and I tend to draw them things like that to fill in. Not quite like that, because I have to do one for each of them and they want them exactly the same... I didn't know it'd get such a huge response though! My friend has an A4 tablet and says that it's sometimes a bit big because she has to move her arm too much or something. I've got an A6 and it's always been fine for me. With the program that comes with it you can change the size of the screen for detail, which is handy. I've got a wacom Volito, which was super cheap - £30 compared to about £200. Not sure what that is in dollars, but either way...
hello =] nice to meet you too. (I feel like I probably should say this at a first exchanging of hellos, but please, please get a tablet because if you can do that level of art with a mouse, you would just be shockingly good with a tablet)

You can use keyboard shortcuts when you're drawing!
z - undo
y - redo
[ - smaller brush
] - larger brush
Try it out :)
lol i have made this mistake also hehe
As for tablet, I really like the wacom tablet 6x8. I have one, and that seems very standard. But I'd generally just google for some reviews of stuff.
