The Big Alley Cat Escape

Prologue

Hey, I'm Jack. I am a cat, but I couldn't keep up with my owners, but now I've got myself into a huge mistake. I have better not give you any information, because it would ruin the story. I'll just give you the plot of my life, I'm an alley cat. Haha, I won't give anymore information. Read this story to find out more!

Chapter one, The Mutts

Jack sprawled out on the chair he was laying on. "Wow, your owners don't swat you with a newspaper everytime you lay on the chair?" Jack asked Mark, his best friend. "....chair?" Mark replied, raising an eyebrow.
"What's chair?"
"The comfortable object were laying on."
"Oh. That."
"Yeah, that." Jack meowed, lowering his head to his paws. A sudden boom echoed for a few moments and it silenced. Mark's tail fluffed up. "What was that?" Jack hissed, tail spiking up in the air. "My owners are home, with the dog!" Mark meowed suddenly. "You never told me your owner is a master!" Jack growled. "Because I knew you would flip out." Mark muttered. "They call him Rick."
"Rick? What kind of name is that?"
"A name for a perfectly stupid mutt who drools over poodles butts."
They laughed. They laughed hard and for a long time. Then the dog came up, and snarled, "Well, well, well. What do we have here?" Mark shot a quick glance at Jack. "You know how to climb trees?" Mark asked Jack quietly. "Yeah." Jack replied. "Then on with it man!" Mark hissed, darting off the chair to a ledge of the rail of the stairs. He dashed off for a tree, followed by Jack. "You furballs are so dead!" Rick snarled, leaping off the deck and after the cats. "Jack! Not a tree! This way!" Mark meowed, and jumped over a fence. Jack followed, jumping the fence also. "You stupid cats! Your pelt will be ripped off by the time I finish you!" Rick barked with anger. He began to dig under the fence. Jack and Mark ran across green grass, but then the neighbor's underground sprinklers rose up, and squirted out water. "Gah!" Both of the cats stumbled. They ran across the yard, but then a dog seen them and began to chase them. The next house had two dogs, and they joined the party. Climbing up a tree, Mark and Jack heard the dogs barking below them. "You idiot!" Jack hissed. "Your the one who told me to go this way!"
"Well.."
"Don't protest! The dogs are going to tear us apart!"
"They won't!"
"How do you know that? Were stuck in a tree!" Jack growled. "Well, I can't disagree with that.." Mark sighed. Hours went by, and the dogs didn't stop yelping or trying to get to Mark and Jack. Then Dawn hit, and their owners finally came to get them. Still, it took another hour for all of the owners to retrieve the dogs. "Finally.." Mark said with a yawn. Jack jumped down from the tree, and growled, "I missed dinner at that one people restaurant," Mark flashed a look at Jack. "So? You can eat at my house, if you are lucky enough, you'll be able to stay at my house for a night," he meowed. "Let's go then," Jack replied, trotting torwards Mark's house. Mark nodded, jumping from the tree and racing past Jack.
