Midori! It's been so long, so great to see you! ^_^ I often look through my list of my list of friends and regret how many are no longer visiting Sketchfu at all. Some great conversations had while it lasted, though. So it's wonderful to see you. I almost feel tempted to say 'welcome home'. :)

Ah, it's fascinating! Sorry I've taken so long to respond, it's just so busy around here! :O That is some amazing info from Japan, I would have loved going to the Ghibli museum. What amazing achitecture and design! I read a little bit of each update at a time, it lets it sink in better that way (I know I'm going backwards in the updates, but I couldn't help myself.). :) I guessed that the 'real people' of the country are not all perfectly shaped and adorable, just like not all Americans are boxy or willing to knock your head off at a moment's notice. *laughs*

Harajuku sounds fun, I've always been keen on costumes as well as street performers. Oh yeah, and remember to eat a LOT of the soft serve ice cream! P:> I may consider getting a LJ just to pester you! XD I'll be wanting one soon as I get more stuff up on the Internet, I like to keep people well-informed.

ANYHOW! Please do draw a Halloween picture! X3 I'd love to see!

Yup, people are people wherever you go. :) Just the attitudes are different. Ha ha, we do tend to be quite that angry lot, but America technically has more people; that just makes it harder to find the nice ones. I don't buy that 'ain't what it used'ta be' stuff, it drives me batty when people use that attitude. The human race hasn't gotten worse, *they've* just gotten less tolerable of others. >.< *rant, rave* <--- SEE?? Anger! *laughs*

It must be nice to be able to speak Japanese! I can understand a few words and pick out the general meaning in some easy phrases, but that's it, the bare basics. My survival rate would be very low over there. XD Don't worry about your Japanese, nobody is going to laugh at you. You can speak it and that's a major plus! I'm always a little upset that my sister can speak french and understand what my Grandma is saying, but I can't. *sniff* It's interesting for me to hear that shops are hard to find, I thought there would be lots of commerce. You'll have to excuse my lack of understanding; It's a bit mystifying, I've never been away from America so other countries seem so very strange and a bit frightening.

Anyway, sorry to rattle on like that. :) It's very interesting to hear what it's like over there. I watch people every day say they've seen some anime or read some manga and then rudely state they now know EXACTLY what Japan is. :P *sigh* It's nice to look past that assumption, because a country can't be made entirely on it's comics and cartoons. :) So cool. Oh, what's this I see? A livejournal! :D Oh joy! Mind if I look?
