    A small doodle of Anastasia. In my mushy head, she's a sweet girl of maybe six or seven, and her father's pride and joy. The very last thread of what he could have hoped to call a family-the man is probably aged and weary, smiling only when she was well enough to speak or hold one of the flowers he'd bring her.

    Primroses-he'd give her bouquets at first, but because she would feel bad for the many flowers that would come to wilt before her, he'd happily bring her one. Primroses mean 'I can't live without you' in the language of flowers.

    So very small flower Anastasia would receive was a delicate, silent prayer for her to remain at her father's side, and eventually, the time would come where she could no longer hold them."
