Welcome to Sketchfu an online ART AND DRAWING community. The site is intended for adults & teens.

Members under the age of 14 are here at their own risk and should have the approval of their parents or legal guardians. Under some international laws you should not even be here if you are below the age of 14.
We do not recommend that you take part in the site if you are below 14 years of age.

Fu Mod Squad, or FMS, is a group of Adult Volunteer artists who moderate content and conduct of this site only. We are not here 24/7. We do our best to answer members as promptly as we can in the order that comments/pm's are received. We are not here for technical support, to comment or cheer your work, join apps or interact with other members artistically from this account.

THE RULES (Please follow, failure to do so can result in account closings):

1. Do not harass other members including under drawings, in drawings, in titles, on profiles, comments, in pm's, in apps, or contests.

2. Do not put personal info on profile like email, phone number or school. Don’t ask or tell. Be SAFE.

3. Do not ask for or give out your account password. You are 100% responsible for what happens on your profile.

4. Do not Role Play including stories). No drawn or word role playing on profiles, in pm, in apps or under drawings. (RP uses up server space needed to store art.)

5. Do not use Sketchfu as a dating site looking for a boyfriend/girlfriend. There are dating sites if you are of a consenting age, please find one.

6. Do not chat only and not draw. There are sites just for chat, please find one.

7. Do not use drawings to text. For example the letters “GTG” scribbled on a blank canvas. Messages for your friends/followers can be left on your profile. Also no faces made of 3 lines etc. Please draw proper drawings.

8. Do not spam. Spam is posting requests on profiles of members you don't know to check out your profile or drawings, or a story saying "pass this on to X number of friends." Do not pass it on. Delete it.

9. Do not scribble on or deface art work.

10. Lock your draws soon as you publish. If you forget it then you must suffer the consequences like having them “stolen”.

11. Do not make drawings with illegal drug use, extreme violence against yourself or others, racist themes, or crude sexual themes. No icon photos that are sexually suggestive.

12. No nude drawings unless you are 18 yrs. old. Do not harass those who are old enough to draw nudes. (Nude drawings may not contain genitals or be sexually suggestive.)

13. Do not make homophobic remarks against other members or their art.

14. Do not use extremely offensive/foul language in drawings, drawing titles, or in any comments and/or pm's to other members. (We will not ban for the occasional usage of "hell" or "damn" unless they are being used against another member.)

SERIOUS ISSUES TO REPORT OR ASK FMS FOR HELP WITH:

1. If you are being extremely verbally abused and/or harassed and have the posts to prove it.
2. How to use a function on the site itself or how to find a program feature.
3. Getting asked by strangers to give out your email or other personal info that could identify you offline.
4. Bashing of members with homophobic, (fear/hatred of gay, lesbian, bi-sexual), comments.
5. Drawings with illegal drug use, racist themes or crude sexual themes.
6. Suggestive icon pictures.
7. Drawing titles or draws with curse words relating to a PERSON. Not “this drawing looks like hell”, etc.
8. Hate Drawings directed at members only. “I hate so & so famous person” is not nice, but, not a bannable offense in most cases. “I hate Lisa” is not ok.
9. Any extremely detailed/realistic violent drawing, cutting, or suicide drawings.

DO NOT REPORT ANY OF THESE THINGS:
(Because you can handle them yourselves or there is no solution):

1. PROBLEM: Technical computer questions like Bad Gateways & things not loading right.
SOLUTION: We are site Moderators, not the site programmers. You may leave a brief message on the profile of Matt or Andrew (the site owners) but, you must be patient as they are rarely on this site any more and you might not get an answer for a while. Sketchfu is no longer their primary site or concern, so, it may take a while to resolve any site issues here.

2. PROBLEM: My friend cannot register for a new account.
SOLUTION: New accounts are closed for now and maybe forever. There is no solution at the moment.

3. PROBLEM: I want to be a Sketchfu moderator.
SOLUTION: Mods are adults who have been here for years. No new mods are currently being added. And, absolutely, no one under the age of 21 would ever be given any serious consideration, so don't ask.

4. PROBLEM: Someone is putting spam or scary stories on my profile or under my drawing.
SOLUTION: Delete the spam comment and tell the sender it is spam, against the rules and to please stop.

5. PROBLEM: Someone stole my drawing.
SOLUTION: You have the ability to lock your drawings. Do it as SOON as you publish them. If, and only if, it is taken while you are trying to lock your work, (within 3 minutes), then you may report it as some computers are slower to process the lock feature. We understand that, but, we will not step in if a drawing is left unlocked longer than 3 minutes, period. Locking your work immediately is your responsibility.

6. PROBLEM: Someone copied my drawing.
SOLUTION: You ask politely for them to stop. Suggest they use their own creativity. If they are offensively rude, then report them. However, if they did not use your drawing as a base, then you have no legal options. If that were the case, then none of us could even draw Mickey Mouse right? Consider it flattery if they like your work even to try to copy it on their own. It is fair for you to ask for credit for your original drawing or idea though.

7. PROBLEM: Her profile name is LadyGaGa234 or some other famous person.
SOLUTION: There are no accounts belonging to famous people here. Just ignore it. As long as they are not claiming to actually be that person, then it's fine.

8. PROBLEM: He/she added me to their friends list.
SOLUTION: Anyone can add you, you do not have to add them back so don’t worry about it.

9. PROBLEM: He/she is not speaking to me or being mean or bullying me or ignoring me, etc.
SOLUTION: We have a comment DELETE button. Delete unpleasant things and ignore the person.

10. PROBLEM: He /she made a mean comment about my drawing.
SOLUTION: DELETE AND IGNORE that person. If they keep bothering you, delete and ignore some more.

11. PROBLEM: This artist drew a nude person.
SOLUTION: Only report this if the drawing is clearly done by an underage member, (under 18), the draw is not over one year old, or it exceeds our rules for Artistic Nudity. (Artistic Nudity drawings may not include genitals or imply any sexual behaviors.)

12. PROBLEM: I was bored so I came and said “hi” on your profile.
SOLUTION: This profile is for problems only, we do not chat here or reply to “hi”.

13. PROBLEM: My friend/account was banned, why?
SOLUTION: They broke a rule or rules. The reason is listed on their profile. BANS are PERMANENT. We will NOT debate it or disscuss it with you for privacy reasons.

14. PROBLEM: I want to leave an app but the creator has been banned.
SOLUTION: Sorry, you cannot leave a banned app. Just ignore it.

Wondering why your report has been deleted, unanswered? Read below;

99.9% of the reports here can be handled by the reporter, you do not need us.

Read the rules, there are many answers there to everyone's questions.

Delete and Ignore bad comments...
Mean people
Bullies
Idiots
Annoying people
Rude drawing comments
Any swearing at you, (Unless they will not stop.)
Etc, etc, etc.

New Accounts have been disabled permanently. It was the owners decision, not up for discussion.

Bans are because somebody DID do something wrong even if they lie to you and say they are innocent. And they are permanent.

We ban for rule breaking and for excessive harassment of us. We are volunteers and are not required to take your abuse.

We will not discuss bans. We do not deal with technical issues!

Do not mini mod.
We have 5 mods and do not need your help.
Ignore bad stuff, mind your own business and draw.
