There was never a tool for straight lines, but there is an unofficial method. And ufortunately even that has gone quite glitchy recently and doesn't always work. I'll try and explain it anyway
1. Left click where you want your line to start
2. Without letting go of the left mouse button, right click (a menu will pop up, just ignore it)
3. Release both buttons
4. Left click where you want your line to end
