"I agree with theSAPINator. Amazing skin tones... it has such depth... it's great even unfinished, but please, finish it - I can't wait to see it done. ;)"
"Hey you! Yet another gem by you, how lovely. By the way, and I might have already asked you before, but are you using a drawing tablet and if so, which one? I'm thinking of getting one, but I'm not sure which one is the best as I have never used it."
Hello! You probably already know, but sketchfu was down for quite a bit (a couple of weeks) ... nobody knew if it was permanent ... obviously not! Anyway, good to see some more of your work ... I checked out your blog; what a visual and poetic treat! You are so talented :)
I'm going crazy over your work right now! You colours are so vibrant and beautiful, your images really lift my spirit in this cold and very white winter :)
Hi Aiata...I was perusing your Bora Bora site. It has some very beautiful images there. Excellent work. I had alot of sadness last year as well, so I wish you a great 2008! I'm not sure if you have made any association with me (like some other YD'ers already have)...but you would remember me from YD as *A* and *A*-scapes. Here I draw as L*A*TE or L8* ;-)
Wow,did i ever appreciate your comment on my lil' flower! I am having such truble right now with a srtange delay when i draw...it began on that flower. That's why your kind words meant even MORE to me!*!! :) Hope you don't mind me adding you. I am looking forward to going thru your work! From what i saw on the way down here, i am already impressed!!!!
Hey, thanks!
I use Wacom Gpraphire 4, it's not the best at all. the best in my opinion would be wacom intuos 3, but it's way too expensive. but any kind of tablet is just fine if you just want to use it on sketchfu.
coming by..*taking and leaving hugs*. want to view your stuff, which looks great, lag is too horrible again and i can't get to them now. hope you have a smile on your face. xo.
just added this to that drawing: thanks Aiata... I do tend to try and draw "classical" faces- and when they are wholly imagined like this I must fall into a trap of always drawing the same sorts of eyes- or the nose is always long etc...so they are "my" faces- how I learnt to draw all those years ago!
ahaha, i thought i need to do one of those too, but it is always too hard challenge for me :DD
it was really pretty and interesting picture, your welcome! :)
my husband walked in from downstairs, was not even in the room yet, started laughing and said his head is too big, looks like a characature....after I had struggled with it forever....aaarg....what do ya do>...give up completely or start over. He is so cute and I just did not capture that cute personality of his....argggg
I do not know why he is so hard for me to capture. Ah well....another day. The reference pic was smallish and not much detail other than shadows so it was difficult to pick out any one thing that was wrong. Take care, glad yo got a laugh.....tee hee.
OMG...what a warm and wonderful commentary you just put on my profile about Heath. Yes, I was immediately touched when I heard the news and came home to draw, as this drawing thing seems to help me cope with these things I do not understand. Take care dear Aiata, and keep thinking wonderful thoughts.
You're so in touch with your feelings and the ability to express them.
May this new year bring you the peace you desire, heavily laced with joy, wonder and contentment.
i know it's going so fast... :D thanks for your concern, but not really - i'm kinda sick right now.. but i hope you're ok, it's been a while since you were here :D
Just in to give my favorite globe trotter a hug for the holidays. Hope yours are wonderful. This year they certainly will be cold anyhow and maybe white! *gbear hug*
Hope you are doing fine Aiata. I am behind in visiting cuz my surgery really wore me out. But I do think of you often and hope you are hanging in there.
lol- I live in stoke on trent- mid way between birmingham and manchester- feels like all the fun has bypassed here!- but we are close to beautiful countryside- staffordshire, derbyshire, cheshire, shropshire, and wales too...
Have a great trip, my best friend is on her way there soon, her son is studying for a semester at the Royal Shakespeare Globe Theater as an exchange student. Flying is fun!! Sit by the window and look out and dream, the view from the sky is so breathtaking, the clouds make new worlds and the land is a an ever changing ever fascinating expanse of fodder for art! Or writing! I figure, hey, i am already ON the plane, might as well enjoy it!!
Hi Aiata, i read on somebodys profile that you have lost several others close to you. I hope that your days get brighter soon. We had a year like that once, I lost 7 people very close to me, relatives, neighbors and friends all in a 6 month period. It does make you view life differently. Anyhow, just thinking of you. *hug*
Thank you for your comment. I take it you know of her... Marie. Powerful energy, that one! Thank you, also for adding me as your friend. I've perused your gallery and am impressed with your art, your messages and your style. N
i won't delete you. i watched three harry potter movies yesterday...and i had an hour rehearsal for a play. toher than that i was on the computer lol. I've seen all of the harry potter movies that are out and all the books :D
I've seen your work around sketchfu the past couple of week, Aiata, and have been meaning to check out your gallery ... so glad I did; your work is truly beautiful, full of wonderful color and heartfelt emotion. So happy you added me as a friend, and pleased to do likewise!
Glad the little sketch inspired you. Nothing like your incredible stuff, though! That's the great thing about this
site, though, we can learn from each other's work. Maybe someday...?
XD Sorry, the overpass is a bit strange looking, but that's how a generic street shows up in my imagination. I should be more observant, you never know when one of my characters could be carried away by a spaceship! *laughs*
I was at the beach, but last weekend was the big beach end of summer clean up so I didnt find much. i should have gone last weekend and made them give me their trash! Maybe next yr i will. i am running out of room for the plastic right now!! Need to get it all cleaned and start making art. So how is life there my friend? Have you lived there before?
Seems we have a few mutual acquaintances here in Sketchfu. I'm EC, the Resident Goat Herder...(a self-annoited title, and job...hehe); I'd like to invite you join the legendary and exclusive Goat Club. All you have to do is draw a goat. Period. I'll add your name and a link to your goat picture on the Goat Gallery during the next update. My goal is to try and get us registered with the Guinness Book of World Records as the site with the most goat drawings by international artists. So far we have 96 members in Sketchfu. I hope you will join us!!!

For me too actually, I could use that *laffing*
Mind if I add you to my friends list? I'd love to be able to watch your art.
Enjoy the day!
