My apologies to any of the VERY talented artists here who do photorealism, I adore looking at, I just meant that I get bored doing it. I have a good eye and keep seeing more and more and more...*L* I never know when to just stop!!
I agree with QT. A nice fade from white to the grey would be cool, you could use the translucent lil white dots and grey dots to blend. That is how i photoshop my retouch photos. The black table is really SO well balanced by the rest of the table and the whole thing is well drawn.
My probelm with critiques is...and I have ot do them for my job, but sometimes what might be viewed as a "mistake" or is just not developed enough is the very thing that takes the picture beyond just copying and brings it into art. That is why with my students, sometimes I might see a "technical" error, but if it adds to the picture then it is NOT an error after all. in my own art, I leave lots "wrong". If I have brought the picture to the point where I feel it conveys what I wanted to say, then I don't really care if some things are off. I only really care when I am going for photorealism which i hate anyway *L* It gets boring!
Oh gosh, I don't think I would change a thing. I love this piece. The contrasts are great making a wonderful composition.....if I were to say anything at all....I am not sure what is going on the wall and or around the bottle type thing on the left. I like the haphazard stuff but the one large white blank space right next to the edge looks out of place....but that is very very minor. OH....and I don't see your jp anywhere.....LOL
