This is a wonderful portrait. and, I am an art teacher for 18 yrs now so HAH!! You must suck it up and LOVE this! *grinning* Listen, what everyone said below is correct. This stands alone as a good piece of art. The head is very human the face very alive with a real expression in the eyes. the composition is excellent and the color work well together. the hat is even fabulous!! So while it might not look just like you, it is still a wonderful PIECE OF ART. And i will not have you putting it down, It's too good. *hug* Be happy, this is wonderful!

To watch this evolve and the corrections you made make this a beautiful piece of art even if it doesn't look like you. I'm sure it must capture your essence! Isn't it nice that you don't have to wait for the paint to dry.
