This piece reminds me of an incident that happened during my childhood. My parents bought a bead set (featuring 5,000 beads and assorted implements for stringing them together) for one of my sisters for X'mas. I can't quite remember who it was (it was probably my little brother--he always seemed to mess things up for everyone...lol) was walking by the bead set (which was in a large flat box in which there were small separate pockets that contained sorted beads, red ones, blue ones, large ones, small ones, etc.) and tripped, stumbled, kicked or stepped on the box. The lid of the box had been removed and in one unforgettable second....most of the 5,000 beads found new homes in the carpet, the floor, in cracks and crevices, etc. Needless to say, the owner and the givers of that gift were pissed beyond belief and those of us who had to help pick them up were equally pissed. We were still finding beads in random locations throughout the house for years to come...lol. Anyway...this is truly a magnificent, meticulously crafted piece of art and the memory it evoked was too cool. Thanks, Gerry!!!
Ok, not only do I feel like I've been sucked into a 70's time warp, but I'm dizzy just looking at this! How you managed to draw this blows my mind x-x This is sort of like one of those optical illusions, because if I move my eyes over this is looks like some of the circles are moving. VERY groovy Ger ;)
that is just AWSOME! i love doing these, i do alot of thinking while i am doodling. those two guys are obviously jerks. i hope they are booted out of here by now. BEAUTIFUL!!
I like them both Gerbear. This one makes me think of something that would be printed on glass or plastic so it would shine through, and the other would be more textural for a fabric.
