I wonder whether it was supposed to be what it turned out to be from the beginning...? What a marvelous struggle. Isn't it funny where the vision takes you? I love the pattern just before you started adding the blue water (that would be a great walhanging on its own!). The fish is so fantastically grumpy - I LOVE IT!!!
