I agree with everyones comments. It does have a muted old master feeling. The pose is excellent and it tells a story that I want to know more about. I would like to address your comment about not wanting to put a draw up, there is lots of support here and you will get better and more experienced the more you do brave the world. We all love your work and unique style so please let us share in any goodies you create!!
She's so pretty.. you know, I somehow get the feeling that it might resemble you a little. Even though I have no idea what you look like.. But sometimes when you start doodling a random face, it ends up looking like it's maker. or at least that happens to me quite often.
I like the skin tones you used, and the gentle light gleaming in her eyes.
The thing that the girl is surrounded by a big, quite dark empty space on every side definitely also brings something to the piece. I think it makes the girl look a little isolated and mysterious. Mysterious, but not at all cold.
