Hmm... well, to be quite honest Sketchfu was originally created for a purpose very similar to the current style of 'roleplaying' people are assuming on Sketchfu. In a nutshell, the virtual equivalent of swapping notes, just with a couple of three-second draws attached to it. (I discussed this with Andrew and was quite surprised by it, myself, haha.)
Text discussions are okay, because they don't clog up your inbox, but given what Sketchfu has evolved into I have to agree that three thousand "drawings" dedicated to one thing is a bit stupid.
..just as threatening suicide and to leave sketchfu every month is, as well. (seriously, what is up with this new suicide fad?)

Agreed. For example, I draw dogs. No problem with that- but if I were to draw a Role-play, or something of it,.. Everyone's mailbox would be cluttered full of messages saying "Your friend LuckyDachshund just drew_____" Repeatedly. I had to take off some friends off my list because each day I would need to empty it since it's STUFFED. I can't understand why the Role-play drawers draw that at all- why, I've seen a account that's entire 140 pages of drawing are all role-plays!
I know that those role-playing Fu's CAN draw good in a way WITHOUT using roleplays. Some of the 'Used to be role-players' are now excellent drawers!
Hopefully, soon in fu,.. all r-p drawers would've figured out that they CAN draw other things than rol-plays!
Sabrina, it doesn't matter who published the drawing, it is on your account, making you responsible for it. Why on earth would you even think to let someone else use your good name to publish anything here? Or anywhere?? You are the one who ultimately end up paying for any mistake made on your account. Are you prepared to be banned because a 'friend' did something you wouldn't do?? Not saying this is a banning offense. Just asking.
Christine and G., Thanks so much for your level headed input on this matter. I really needed that. MissA too, I get so riled about the arguments and absolute junk some people do here, I could scream at times..lol
Christine, I never thought I was a 'chatter', but I find myself connected to some people on here to the degree that I end up saying more than I should sometimes.. Mostly they seem to tolerate it, to my relief...=} Rants are needed at times, and I for one glad you did!! I agree that it is great to see the younger members draw, and draw again. That is how we all learn. Repetition is key. That is why I don't complain, even if I don't understand what it is they are drawing, or to be so blunt, hate it. Sometimes, though, we all need a reminder, I guess on tolerance, and sometimes, we all get too much of what we do not want to see, and have to speak out. I would caution the younger members though, to be a bit more tactFUl, when venting.

Hi I feel the same. I have even on occassion deleted friends ( it is only when I get constant drawings one after the other with very little changes) its not a criticism just trying to keep sane. Some days I look at 3 or 4 hundred messages comments etc and I dont have time to draw... I hope people can understand how it feels... Im not a "chatter" and try and keep my comments brief and hopefully encoraging.. i think its great that kids do get into long convoluted sets of drawings, i just dont understand the background behind minipets or eggs or chibis.. sorry to rant! that feels better!!!
Hence the reason I keep a small and select friends list. I see stuff from people that I admire or that inspire. I have no time or interest for these endless clone drawings or the complaints that they produce. I see people fighting over a picture that has been drawn a hundred times.
Fu Mod Squad is starting to distance itself from these people and complaints because trying to get the 'lock' or the 'ingore and delete' message through to some people seems to be an endless and thankless task.
SG, nobody could blame you if you whittled down your own friends list. Sometimes trying to be nice to so many people is stressful and not worth coming to Fu for.
Good advice on the system cleaning. It should be a regular thing, monthly at least.

That is Not what I said Mana. I was just pointing out that not everyone likes the same thing, and a little tolerance is very helpful to keeping the peace here, and elsewhere. How about the CHATS you guys get into. It not only clogs up my inbox, it clogs up the 'recent comments left by others', that now seems to be gone forever?? Maybe too many people complained about that.. I hope that is not the case, but, who knows??
I have never complained about that, I try to understand that you kids are having fun, and ignore it. How hard is that to do for the kids that are younger than you???
Thanks everyone. I realize it was out of frustration that it was started, but, think how bad it would be if there were complaints from others who disliked what you drew, because there were too many tails or WIPs or some such. We don't need chaos, we need to respect that others may do things differently and do as DFW and MissA suggested.
I haven't deleted anyone for any kind of drawings. But, I will probably start to. There are many types that I don't like, and am annoyed at the repeat drawings. Not just the foxes either.
I do mind the types of drawings that promote violence, hatred, intolerance; well, drawings that are non-humanizing, if that makes any sense.
I ignore a lot of drawings I don't like. It's just the way I do things. if they are hurtful, I do take notice.
One thing. I have never had trouble logging in for any reason, so you may want to do some maintenance on your PC, or whatever it is you use. That is usually the reason that you can't get into one site or another. Each site handles things according to their engineers, and if your PC isn't taken care of, like dusting, defragging, running a virus program, clearing your cache, deleting cookies, etc., you will have issues. Not with all sites, but with some.
