SketchFu, as the name implies, is a DRAWING WEBSITE. There's step one. Please note, this does NOT translate to any of the following: 'dating' websites, 'drama' websites, 'kiddie' websites, ect.
Step two to note is that SketchFu, as a drawing website has it's own 'following' system. Think. . Twitter. On twitter you 'follow' someone because you like their tweets. On SketchFu, you 'befriend' someone because you enjoy their art and would like to see it in your news feed. They would like to see your art, if they befriend you.
NOW that we have that established, let me break it down for you. If they 'friend' you, this is NOT like Myspace. They're not 'adding' you, or sending a 'request'. They simply want to see your ART. This is a drawing website. I cannot FATHOM the number of times I've seen someone demanding that they 'un-add' them or 'OH EM GEE DON'T SEND ME RANDOM ADDS CAUSE I DUN KNOW YOU LOOOOOOL'
This is an art website. Not a social networking site. Here, artists talk to each other about ART. They look at each others DRAWINGS. If they follow you, they follow you. GET OVER IT. You should be glad they like your art.

Now, let me say this. If they're bothering you, or if they're saying things that make you uncomfortable, here's a check list of BIG KID options you can use. That's right. Put on your big kid panties instead of baaawing your eyes out. With all due respect, of course.
[] 1. Take the time to make sure YOU don't have THEM added as a friend. If you do, remove them.
[] 2. If they're doing something disturbing, please notify the Fu Mod Squad. And I mean if they're actually being crude, not 'OH EM GEEEE, THEY CALLED ME STOOOOPIIIDDD'
[] 3. There are these wonderful 'delete' buttons by messages on your profile. You can also delete your PM feeds. Use those. Please note: if they're being crude and you've notified the Fu Mod Squad, but they aren't active at the moment or are busy, I would recommend leaving the messages until they can see them.
[] 4. IGNORE THEM. The biggest big kid idea of all. Actually suck up your pride and ignore them. By attacking back, you're sinking to their level. And that's stupid.
