I agree the scorpion's a bit wide for any normal person to sit comfortably, also, might I suggest hunching his back over a little more? He looks almost like an action figure placed on top of there...love the detail on the scorpion, btw.
Wonderful drawing. The width of the top ridge on the scorpian could be narrowed and raised higher so it is more like he is riding a horse. And he needs to be anchored with strong shadow, right now he floats. But you would have seen this after a break. Always good to leave a work if possible and come back with a fresh eye. You are a good artist, keep it up!!
All things considered I think it is fine. Tis true it's a bit of a crotch stretcher though. Possibly by changing the highlighting and shadows you might give the lobster/scorpion a slimmer look with a higher back, without changing the dimensions. rounding it up more, it will give the illusion of being thinner in the abdomen.
Nice add-on I thinks its because the scorpion is so big and wide that the position was difficult... At that scale the dude would have to be doing the splits to sit that way and like christine said fro m this angle you wouldnt be able to see so much of his face...
Still an awesome pic and i like the remix. Right up my alley I like fantasy.
I think the head may be a bit too high up and far forward- or of course he might just have a long neck? lol- I would have a sheild slung across his back and as high as the back of his head- to protect it from the stinger...
