I am not anywhere near a professional, but have done this kind of work. Submitting ideas to the client, was always a challenge.
I say Upper right. Easy to understand, simple and did I say easy to understand??
Upper left would be good too, if the 2 was more defined.
They are all so good on their own merit though.
Like you said, it is kind of hard not knowing what the organisation does.

A few quick ideas... tell me which one you like most and what you'd change and I'll make a neater hi-res version. Kind of hard to get this right without knowing what your organisation does, but I think these are eerie enough. =p

I personally like the red one a lot, as well the the one on the bottom right corner, but they are all great ideas :3
