I learn to use the sky(and the sky learns to use me!)
Hey. It’s Chris. Sorry it took so long for me to show up. But, ya no, it’s difficult when monsters are after you... Let’s just get back to the story. Shall we?
Alright, so, where should we start from my view? Um, ok lets just start from the beginning.
First of all, my friends and I were on vacation in the city(of course, we do live in the country). We got separated in the hotel, then four dudes started chasing me. I ran maybe two miles out of town with them on my heals at all times. I turned onto a gravel road and stayed in the middle, they stayed on the sides in the grass. I stopped quickly and they passed me, I turned left and ran straight into the maze(or corn field, for you city folk). I ran about thirteen rows in and stopped, I turned and watched the men come my way. One turned right and the other two went left, the last one just kept coming. I knew I was gunna get surrounded, but I stood my ground. I’d rather die fighting than running away. When all of them were close to me, I rapped myself up and spun around(you may think that’s stupid, but wait till you hear what happens). I started to spin really fast and air blew all four of them back onto their rears. I stopped with a big gust of wind and spread my arms out, I looked to the sky and let out a scream. Lightning flew from the sky just above them and blast all around me. They flew back unconscious, I jumped over one and ran at full speed toward the road(no! I don’t know how I did the lightning thing without freaking! Shut up Christy!) The next thing I knew, I had a face full of fat police stomach!
“Whoa! Slow down there! What’s going on?!” the police guy stared at me and I backed away, “what’s your name kid?” I didn’t want to just pop out and say, “Hi ya! My names Chris! You gunna try and kill me too?” No!
“Uh, well, my name is Christy...” come on! What’s a last name he would fall for? “Christy, um, Christy White?”
“No way kid! They said you left two days ago! And they said you weren’t coming back anytime soon! C’mon kid, lets get you to your parents!”
Then one of the guys that was chasing me got up and yelled, “You!” that’s when I realized that the police had surrounded them. They came in and started grabbing the men. Then the same guy shouted, “this isn’t over!” all four of them disappeared.
“Well, let’s get out of here before they come back...”
“How are we supposed to get back?”
“With the cars, of course.”
“Cars?” (oh don’t give me that look! I live in the country ten miles out of town, so no, I’ve never heard of a car).
“Think I could just run?” (ok, yes, that sounds weird for a twelve years old girl to want to run two miles back into town after all that)
“Uh, I guess. But if you ever get tired I’ll be there to give ya a ride.” Then they all loaded into the cars and took off, I watched hoping they just might leave me. But the fat one stopped and waved at me to come along, so I took off. I didn’t know how fast these things could get, so, I tried them. I kicked up speed and started to leave them in my dust, but they started to go faster. I kept getting faster until someone pulled in front of me with one of their ‘cars’. I tried to jump it but it was to late. I hit it, BANG! I was a little dazed, but I got over it. I stared at the dent I made, it was huge! Well, now these people wouldn’t forget me. Right? I knew that sounded crazy, but what else am I supposed to think when I was racing a bunch of police and ran into a car and dented it?
I stood and told the lady, “I’m so sorry! I didn’t mean to!”
The lady got out and I thought she was gunna slap me across the face for denting her car, but instead she said, “Oh my, I guess it’s ok. I was just as much of the cause as you were, I’m dearly sorry about that,” she did a slight smile toward me, but I could tell it was by force, “are you all right?”
“Yeah I’m fine,” I looked back and saw the police were catching up with me. And if they saw this, well, I doubt they would still be in a good mood about finding me.
The lady turned and looked the way I was looking, “Do you need a ride?”
“Uh, no, it’s alright. I’ve already caused you enough trouble as it is.”
“Oh, but it’s the least I could do. Please, let me help.”
“Why are you doing this for me?”
“Just get in the car and get down, I’ll get them off of your track,” so I did what she said. When the police got close, she pointed the opposite direction that I was gunna go.
“Your pretty,” came a boy’s voice from behind. I looked back and saw four kids in a space clearly meant for only three. One boy that said that was about my age, maybe a year older? Identical girls about ten years old and a little boy, probably three... “I’m Clark, that’s Jess and Jane,” he gestured to the twins.
“And that’s little Billy,” said the mother as she sat in the car, “I’m Jessanoline.” the thing that really scared me was that there was a knife tucked under the windshield. That’s when I understood. Something nobody, and I mean nobody knows, is that I always carry a knife with me. Strapped to my shorts, it was on my right hip. I unsheathed it and held it ready.
“You seem like such a sweet girl,” Jessanoline cooed.
“Pretty girl? What’s your name?” came Clark’s voice from the back.
Without taking my eyes off of his mother I answered, “Chris.”
“Isn’t that a boys name?”
“No! I’m clearly a girl!”
“Chris, where have I heard that name?” the lady looked out the side window, “you wouldn’t happen to be related to Christy White, would you?”
“Who the heck is this Christy White gal everyone is talking about?!”
“Why, she was a girl much like yourself.” I could tell she was trying to get on my good side.
“If I was related to her. Don’t you think I would know who she is?”
“I would think so.” I glanced at the knife, she followed my gaze, “oh my, I hope that didn’t scare you! It was a gift from my husband, it’s made of rubber. All rubber.” she picked it up and pulled the blade to one side, she let it go and it twirled really fast, back and forth.
“Oh, yeah, it helps to know that,” I sheathed my knife and pulled my hand up.
“So,” she put the rubber knife up and asked, “where too?”
“It’s fine, I’m good. I can just walk.”
“Oh, I’ll stop bugging. But your sure you’ll be ok walking?”
“Yeah, I’m sure.” I got out of the car and looked around, “but, you think you know where this Christy White chick lives?”
“Oh, why yes. Go left pass two houses then go right then it’ll be the third house on the left.”
“K, thanks.” I took off running. Then I stopped and looked back, that family was watching me. I looked around them, I saw a weird cloud, I knew it was something bad!(oh, shut up, Christy. Yes, yes I have feelings for others but me. Now, would you shut up so I can finish telling the story? Thank you.) I ran back to them.
“Hurry! Dangers on it’s way! Hurry! Get to safety!” the wind was picking up, and the Jessanoline’s car wouldn’t start.
“Chris!” the lady was shouting to be heard, “the car won’t start! What do we do?!!” for once someone was asking me for guidance.
“Get out! Get out of the car and run!” she opened her door and ran to Clark’s side, she got them out. I got Billy out, he was to little to run so I grabbed him and held him tightly. Jess started to blow away, Jane grabbed her and started to blow away too. Clark leaped up and pulled them down, but didn’t stay down for very long. I jumped up and grabbed his hand, he would have blushed if he wasn’t in a chance of dying. I hooked my foot to the car and looked for their mother, she was trying her best to hang onto the car.
“Give it up daughter of Christopher!” came a deep echoing voice that reminded her of a dream she had before she came here on vacation, “Daughter of Christene, eh? Beauty shows it, but wisdom. Not so much!”
Screaming came from the building, I looked up and saw my friends! Three demons were pointing spears at them, they were on the edge of the balcony! About to fall!
“Your choice, Christalia!”
He thinks I’m Christalia!? First Christy, and now Christalia!! No! They want to know who I am, fine! They’re gunna know who I am!
But before I could tell them, a fire of light shone on my head. A cheetah, mostly black, running nonstop surrounded with fire! And another started to shine, a great white shark, that was moving with great speed, surrounded with gleaming blue ocean water.
“Christene and Christopher have claimed for the second time!” said the deep voice, “and you have put up a good fight, but now, it’s time for you to be gone!...”
Everything went black.
