Oh, he is only getting 25 mil over two years. And, sorry about the photo ref I used, I believe it is from the press conference when he was telling Minnesota that he had decided to not come out of retirement to play for the Vikes. What a piece of work he is. Deep down I am happy we finally have a QB that can get the job done, but I am appalled at how he has bamboozled the public so many times for dramatic effect. Rumor has it that he HATES training camp and that is why he delayed his entry into our FB program, just to avoid that. I was up north when all of this happened, TVless, but I heard that it was a media frenzy when he arrived similar to the OJ incident, with helicopters following his enterage toward Vikings head quarters. All a promotional stunt by the owner to create interest, I would suspect. Hubby said they sold 3000 more season tickets the day he arrived. What a sham..........if he doesn't win a super bowl, the public is going to rebel, I would think.
And one more thing: I don't know anything about Favre, but I do know that in the world of big sport everything's highly political. As high and mighty as he may be on the field, at the end of the day he's just a contract employee; he's dispensable. He can be raised, tossed, or traded at a whim. And if he wants to keep playing his sport, he’s not as free to decide things for himself as it may appear.
