It's unfortunate that the world, both regular and business, is the way it is, but she looks smart and capable of handling whatever is thrown her way. She probably doesn't need the boxing gloves, I'm sure she could go toe-to-toe bareknuckle if she had to!
Gracie's right, she is ready to take on the world. She's small and feminine, and we see her in a business suit. Women in the business world often are just as capable as anyone, but face glass ceilings, rude slights, and regular come-ons. But there's no point in giving up. You develop a thicker skin and take on the world. This is what this image is about: being strong in a rough world. In a dog-eat-dog world.
