BLACK CAT

Black cat, black cat sittin’ in a tree

In the dark of night wondering

Where the witches might be

Twitching his tail and staring at the moon

He knows the broom girls will be here soon

They’ll soar and dive and cackle and howl

Scaring the children and animals alike

Protecting their special Halloween night

From his branch high in the tree

He’ll watch the people scurry and flee

He’ll hear the witches laughing with glee

Halloween is their night to scare the b’jesus

Out of you and me!
