In 1964 ,Colombo was awarded the IN-Arch prize for his interiors for a hotel in Sardinia(1962-1964),which included ceiling fixtures made fromperspex prisms that diffracted the light.With his brother Gianni,Colombo devoloped this idea in his design for the Acrilica lamp(1962.
