This is so spectacular! It has a brilliant msgic quality to it.I was so flattered to know that it was dedicated to me.I'm glad To be an influenc to someone, but it is your talent and dedication to your craft that makes this all your own. Thanks Gerry,You're a star in my book!
Plain beautiful!
Gerry you have really out done yourself!I honestly REALLY REALLY like this picture! You too have inspired me!Thanks!
Keep up the wonderful work!
I love this picture of a beautiful lady reaching out for her dream. She sees not a distance planet but a home of many exciting things, and reaches out with arms stretched yet more with heart alive and feels, knows the wonderful joy that is there. So much so it is as though she begins to transport into that dream, and dream and reality mix and blend. Dream on beautiful lady, for thus are great wonders discovered, bridges crossed, vast distances shrunk...
Oh wow, that is gorgeous and it just gave me an idea for a picture of my daughter when she goes to prom....hmmm or even graduation pictures this fall....oh wow, this is amazing, I love it, total inspiration!
This is a wonderful drawing!!! It's fabulous and the symbolism is so well and althoug she stands still... the drawing is full of movement. Very powerful. I love it Gerbearfriend!!!
Absolutely beautiful, and indeed the crystals looked kind of cool, although it would probably steal some of the attention, maybe you can make a crystal-drawing that only focuses on them sometime? ^^
Anyway, mama mia, stunning drawing, and I love the light :) Great work!
Oh Gerry - such a swish! It's beautiful - and to think you did it with a mouse! The light just glinting on her hair and the fabric enough to describe the whole form. It makes me think of 'yearning' although that might just be how I'm feeling at the moment . . .
About the crystals and the waterfall/column, I felt they became the focal point and I really wanted her to be that. I kept making them darker but it was never quite right. I have learned in art to let the picture speak to me. After a picture reaches a certain point it has a voice of its own, it knows what it needs and if i listen generally I make the better decisions.
Thanks ya'll! :)
yAHOO!! iT PUBLISHED IT!!! It said it was a lost page!! I had taken a screen shot of it so was not completely upset but I worked hard on this with my crappy mouse that sticks and won't make round objects.
This is dedicated to Michael Everett who has inspired me with his incredible use of light. Thank you Michael for being brilliant and sharing it with us!
