I think fizzy is just reacting to the uniformness of the skin color. I find it to be fine since this is anime style. in your realism portraits you bring in more lifelike colors.

And since you asked about the skin color... I can't put my finger on why I feel this way but my first impression was that it feels a bit.. plastic (though that impression fades a little now that I am looking at it a bit longer).
On the up side, it does look warmer and healthier than Ed's pallor in your previous pic.

So this is what Al looks like in his human form rather then an empty suit of armor! Cute kid, huh? He'll take the time to apologize when Edward loses his cool and kicks somebody in the face. Sorry Ed, your temper is too close to my own. I'm an Alphonse fan. *laughs*
