Your basic problem is that the new operating system (Windows Vista instead of XP) understands the hardware a bit differently. You should probably try to configure the tablet to your likings in the control panel under either the Mouse or Game Controllers menu. Have Matt help you with it, or I can give it a shot next time I swing by.
