Wow, this is awesome. That rose looks it could symbolize a gloved arm, her hand cradling an apple that she (or a loved one) has bitten. She seems to be holding it out with this look in her eyes like daring someone to take a bite. She's probably wearing a fluffy white boa, or a beautiful white gown that has fallen just below her shoulders. (Don't give me an inkblot test!) :P
The background is awesome, a thought, would make a cool series to do a series of pictures with that background, maybe in different colors for each one and a portrait of somebody from the past who you admired. I only suggest it because i like this style so much *S*
Hey there QT ..., That portrait i drew is of a movie starlet from the 20's named Clara Bowe. I don't beleive she gained a great deal of notoriety in her time, but i thought she was good subject to draw... :))
