Omg people, sorry but I have had it. Stop hating on Kikyo. And no, Kagome is not better than Kikyo. They are equals. EQUALS. For goodness sake, if you have paid any attention at all you would know this. Kagome is the reincarnation of Kikyo, and Kagome has Kikyo's spiritual powers for this reason. No, Kagome's spiritual powers are NOT stronger than Kikyo's in any way shape or form. Yes, I know that they were sealed up by what's his face (Sorry I forgot his name because its probably one of those long complicated ones =.=" but its the demon that was trapped inside the Shikon No Tama), but when they were released, I would say that THEN she had the same spiritual powers as Kikyo for Kikyo had always had stronger spiritual powers in the beginning, and middle. If anything Kikyo's spiritual powers are stronger than Kagome's because when she was resurrected her new body was stronger than her old one (apparently). As for the love triangle, see it this way, Kikyo and Inuyasha had a rough start. They slowly came together and eventually fell in love. Kikyo asked Inuyasha to become Human so that they may stop fighting all the time, and get married and live together. SHE DID ACCEPT HIM AS A HALF DEMON. The only reason she did not get married and live with Inuyasha while he was a half demon is because she had to continue guarding the Sacred Jewel, and could not afford to become attatched to anything or anyone as long as she was the guardian(even though she did unintentionally haha). Naraku tricked Kikyo into thinking he was Inuyasha, Killed her and pinned them against each other. Kikyo felt betrayed and heart broken. It is only natural that she would feel jealousy and envy toward Kagome. She also is angered with Kagome because Kagome does not belong in that time period. She knows that she cannot be with Inuyasha because she has fallen, but she cannot help the feelings that she has. Kikyo is probably one of the most realistic characters in this way. Yes, I would agree that Kikyo has went a tad too far in the beginning, but she had good intentions. When Kikyo tried to kill Kagome,(First of all in the manga she had never said she intended to kill Kagome, this was only in the anime.)she was acting out of envy and jealousy, but also to retrieve the sacred jewel to purify Naraku. I'm sure she would not have killed Kagome. I mean, look at it this way she had so many chances to yet did she? No. Kikyo had not intended to kill Kagome for Kikyo is not the type of person to needlessly slaughter people. FOR GOODNESS SAKE SHE IS A PRIESTESS AND A HEALER =.=". Anyway Kikyo was a savior to so many people. She was kind to children and villagers. She did anything in her power to help people. Kikyo saved Koga, Miroku, and Kohaku. And when she had saved Miroku, she endangered her own life by putting the posion in her own body which eventually killed her. She sacrificed herself to save Miroku. Kikyo is a wonderful character. I don't understand for all the hate -.- Inuyasha will always love Kikyo and Kagome knows that and accepts it, and Kikyo has come to accept that Kagome had replaced her in Inuyasha's heart. See they solved the problem. So stop all the hate please. When it comes down right to it, Kikyo and Kagome are the same person. They have the same soul. Kikyo is Kagome and Kagome is Kikyo. Yes, they have different personalities but they have the same soul which the is the main important part for each human. Most of this hatred for the characters can be cured with Knowledge, Maturity, and Compassion. This is my person opinion but this is how I see it...
Kikyo Fans: Compassion, Maturity, Romantic, Serious.
Kagome Fans: Fun, Care-free, Friendship, Laughable.
And then theres the people who do not hate any of the characters.(Me)
One last point on this subject, if the story was told from Kikyo's point of view, I'm sure things would be reversed and there would be a ton of hate on Kagome instead of Kikyo. Please people, be open minded.

i agree with butterfly beautiful i didnt like kikyo either at first but she is a big help tho i still like kagome more lol btw wonderful drawing

gaah, ppl just stop haten on kikyo, she plays a big part. i have to admit, i really didnt like her in the beginning, but you have to think realisticly here. Kikyo is a good woman at heart, just watch the final act. Very nice drawing, defanitly one of my favorites on here.
