How do we overcome such things? How do we come to terms with the fact that we are heart-broken by the loss of this young man...who we never even met in person, never even knew who he really was... but somehow we could always feel what an exceptional precious wonderful and good human being he was. He touched us through his work, he made the silver screen shine with life. How is it possible that he left such a mark on so many, but no one was around when he needed help... I cannot belive he is gone... I wish this wonderful tribute got to his family. Thank you, QT.

oh sorry...notice arrived in Italy this morning too, I met him this summer in Venice, he was very kind, a little bit silent and lonesome, but gentle with all journalist.I'm sorry for him and relatives

The mind can be a confusing place, can sometimes feel like its the only way to escape yourself and your feelings, Sad but to just hold on a few more days things could have looked so much different for him. Very good likeness of one of my favorite actors ty for such a nice reminder of a fantatic young and gifted person .

This was very sad news indeed. In fact it's the second young actor within only a few days, that has passed away. Brad Renfro died on the 15th...also an excellent "up and coming" actor. Life & career pressures are seriously killing our younger generation. More sad is the warning signs that go unnoticed. Excellent draw QT !! ;-)

Update: The police and family are now saying it appears it was an accidental overdose. No foul play or suicide are suspected.

You looked at Heath Ledger and saw a young man full of talent and possibilities ... and you wonder, what would make someone take such a drastic and permanent step? I can't fathom it. So very sad and confusing.

Good looks, fame & fortune doesn't always add up to happiness, what a tragic end to a yound man's life. And his little girl will never know her Dad, life is confusing sometimes.....

It's soo sad. I just heard after I picked up the kiddies from school today. He was only 28 years old and left a 2 year old little girl behind without her daddy. I don't think anybody had a clue that he was in such trouble. If they do, they're not ready to talk about it yet.
