Impressive draw jpjp..i love Frans Hals. Saw a whole lot of his work in Holland and fell in love with him there....that was way back in 1963~!! What impressed me was how loose the work was up close, the lace was just blobs, then stand back a few feet and it was detailed lace. brilliant man.

I like yours better! The eyes on his look a little weird...lol.

I remember studying this pic in art history....very nicely done jpjp. I love watching your draws. Did this one all in slow mo. He has such an alive look....and smirk....I think he could be up to something! Great lighting also, which if I remember correctly Hals was known for.
