Woah! That is..... OMG! I DON'T EVEN THUNK THERE'S A WORD TO DESCRIBE IT!!!! Well..... guess this calls for a new word! Hmmmmm........ Got It!!!! It's accompladuanistic!!!! YES! THAT'S PERFECT!!! Still not worthy of your drawing, BUT IT'S AN AWESOME WORD!!! I'm gonna go call Webster's!!!!
a brilliant job, once again, absolutely beautiful... you have such talent, i cannot draw horses to save my life, and your talent in opacity?? absolutey ammazing how you make the colours so realistic... you must teach e one day :)
Magnificent horse and drawing and me thinks it captures our Lates personality and spirit VERY well. It is just incredible and truly popping off the page at me!! Again, the delicacy of your draw is stunning!
Reminds me a little of my old yellow app colt in color placement even though he had a little more color. Never got to ride him though as he hadn't been fully broken in before my dad got laid off from work and we had to sell our horses and old ponies to keep afloat. :_(
The last I heard of him, he was being used in Civil War Reinactments as he was quick to learn and a very calm horse. Shame I never really got to know my "Fairwind's Fellow", (Fella), very well. But he was mine for a while. ;)
wow so beautiful! i myself love horses to death and to have this horse would be awesome! the colors are so beautiful. great draw aakyra, one of my favorites!
is this the horse the film was based on- the bloke who raced across arabia... played by the actor out of lord of the rings? what was that film called??///
Just a tiny bit of history on this breed - Appaloosas are descendants of the Spanish horses brought to the Americas by the Spanish Conquistadors. The name of this breed is derived from the area in Oregon and southeast Washington surrounding the Palouse River ... Palouse country. They were almost eradicated by the US Army after the defeat of the Nez Perce' Indian tribe living in that area. The Indians prized these horses for their spotted coats.
Aakyra....you've done it again!! This Appaloosa is absolutely gorgeous. I love his coloring....and the way you shade and blend your colors is just amazing. Your artwork is truly beautiful....I love it!!!
yes you are really running free the ponney tail tells the story how you run and the ponney face tells how smart you are the back ground says how good you are in your drawing! very wounderful
Unveiled & beautiful!! A Golden draw, J & an honour to receive. ;-D They are gorgeous & I think the markings are what makes them so unique. So individual. The face you've drawn is just lovely. If you were to outdo yourself, then I'm pleased it would be for me...and you did!! May I print him out & enjoy him off screen too? Great big Thank You for being so considerate, kind & giving ... L8* ;-D
Well Miss, You asked for an Appaloosa, and here he is... I hope you like him, he loves to run free galloping on the winds of winters promise, for you...
